Wellness Hotel Stoos

Great stay overall, good service with people that want to help and give us good time. The restaurant has its tables wide apart, which provides extra privacy. Table service is good and the wine list matches quality. The spa is good and well maintained, (though we had a spa treatment appointment wrongly timed by the hotel). The rooms are a bit dated, poor sound insulation, but very clean and spacey.

This hotel exceeded all I had hoped for during my getaway into the mountains. Every employee I encountered was very kind and catering, providing excellent service. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The international breakfast buffet was abundant and delicious. The hotel is located in Stoos, a car-free village, and is right beside two different lifts that can take you to various hiking trails or to a bus that gets you to Lake Lucerne in just 10 minutes (arriving in Brunnen). The Stoos Ridge hike was one of the most incredible treks I've ever done. The views everywhere here are breathtaking. Upgrading to a room with a balcony and a mountain view was the best decision! The spa was so relaxing after hikes (or no hike!). I would have liked to know that it was a nude spa before arriving (the saunas and steam rooms and small pools are no-swimsuit zones, while the swimming pool and outdoor whirlpool are not). The only other downside for me was that the rooms have no air-conditioning. I was offered a fan, and without it, I don't think I would have slept well since August has been hot! It's true the temperatures are lower up on the mountain, but air-conditioning would have made the summer stay more comfortable. Other than that I have nothing but stellar things to say about this hotel. Thank you for pampering me so beautifully, Wellness Hotel Stoos. My sincere compliments to your staff. Our family stayed here for 4 nights in January. What separates this hotel from others is its exceptional service from absolutely all staff. Nothing was too much trouble and they do their job with joy and humour, so lovely to see! Makes such a difference to the guests experience. The facilities were great too. We’ll be back!!
